The protection of your personal data is a top priority for SongFlip. This Privacy Policy informs you about what data is processed when using our website (songflip.link) and the Android application SongFlip.

3. Data Processing in the SongFlip Android App
a) No Account, No Registration
The SongFlip Android app operates 100% without user accounts. You do not need to register, log in, or provide any personal details (such as name, email, or telephone number) to use the full feature set.
b) Handling of Music URLs
When you click a music link on your Android smartphone, SongFlip intercepts the URL locally on your device. To resolve the target song in your preferred streaming service, the track ID is queried via public song link lookup APIs. No IP addresses or music listening histories are logged, stored, or tied to your identity.
c) Permissions
The app only requests standard Android system permissions required to intercept supported web links (Intent Filters) and to access the network for song lookups. SongFlip does not access contacts, location, storage, or microphone.
4. Data Processing on this Website
a) Hosting & Server Infrastructure
This website is hosted on servers of Contabo GmbH (Hans-Pinsel-Str. 9b, 85540 Haar, Germany). When visiting our website, technical log data and IP addresses of your device are processed by the hosting provider.
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, stable, and efficient online service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with Contabo GmbH.
b) Server Log Files
Our web server automatically collects and stores standard technical information that your browser transmits (e.g. browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time of server request). This data is processed exclusively to ensure system stability and security (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
c) Early Access Pre-Registration (Waitlist)
If you voluntarily sign up for our Google Play pre-registration waitlist, we store your email address along with a timestamp. This data is used solely to inform you about the release of SongFlip on Google Play (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can request the deletion of your email address at any time by sending a message to daniel.notthoff@gmail.com.
d) Privacy-Friendly Analytics (Umami)
We use a self-hosted instance of Umami Analytics to anonymously measure visitor numbers and interactions (such as button clicks). Umami does not use tracking cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not track users across websites. Your IP address is immediately anonymized.
5. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
